Go Fast! was kind enough to provide us with a case of sample product of both their Go Fast Authentic as well as a sample of Go Fast Light. They also offer Tea Energy, Coconut, Berry and Lemonade-Lime flavors.

As the many tag-lines make clear, Go Fast is targeted at athletic users looking for a energy packed drink. It contains Honey, Ribose, Niacin, Taurine, Guarana, Ginseng, and even some Ginkgo Biloba.

Product Quality

The cans themselves are well made and seem to remain cool fairly long. Local stores tend to sell the larger 16 oz can, and that was the one we sampled. Price wise a large can of Go Fast costs around $2.50 a can, which puts it mid-range with the competition. A case can be purchased directly from Go Fast at a significant discount from their online store.

Product Review

As is the case with most caffeinated energy drinks, Go Fast gives a buzz. During testing we noticed that Go Fast left us with a longer buzz than some of the other energy drinks we have reviewed. The taste was extremely unique – and a bit divisive, one of our reviewers found it too ‘herby’ for his palate while the other absolutely loved it. As with many energy drinks, this one can probably be well described as having a bit of an acquired taste to it. Again, I wish to stress the uniqueness of this beverage. It really does not taste like any of the many different energy drinks out there.

Perhaps the biggest surprise to those of use reviewing was the great taste of the Go Fast Light product. Generally the light versions of energy drinks suffer from th reduced caloric content and lack of sugar. Go Fast Light is an absolute gem in that it has an excellent taste at only 20 calories. Everyone who we asked to try it agreed in a blind taste test that it actually tasted superior to the regular go fast.

Verdict

If you love trying new drinks we highly recommended finding yourself a can of Go Fast. We particular recommend trying out the very unique and pleasant tasting Go Fast light. While vendors vary, you can purchase the product at Whole Foods Markets or directly from Go Fast’s online store.
