De-Alcoholized Wines

De-alcoholized wines are real wines with the alcohol content removed. Because non-alcoholic wines are made from the same ingredients and in the same wine-making process as traditional wines, they retain an authentic flavor. Don’t think that you’re missing out on taste. In fact, one de-alcoholized wine (Ariel Blanc) continually wins blind taste contest against wines with alcohol content. De-alcoholized wines can be consumed by themselves or as a party of a celebratory mocktail beverage (see: non-alcoholic mocktail recipes). So, bring a bottle to your next dinner party or other celebration. Your friends will swoon.

Note: De-alcoholized wines usually contain a very small amount of wine (legally .5% or less). It is often impossible to completely remove every trace of alcohol. However, the small amount of alcohol in each serving is similar in portion to the alcohol content found in other juices which may ferment (a cup of orange juice, for example). Some treatment programs recommend that alcoholics avoid de-alcoholized wines.
